Man goes to prison for Ocean Isle Beach kidnapping and robbery

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Clarkton man is going to prison for his role in a kidnapping and robbery in Ocean Isle Beach.

A judge sentenced Jeffrey Collins to a minimum of seven and a maximum of nearly 10 years in prison.

Collins pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery, second degree kidnapping and first degree burglary.

According to the District Attorney’s office,  Collins stayed outside the home while others forced their way in the home, held two women in the home and a man outside the home at gunpoint.

The victims were not seriously injured.
