Man in critical condition after being shot in Whiteville home

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — A man is in critical condition after being shot Tuesday night in Whiteville.

Police responded to a home around 11:15 p.m. on West Wyche Street.

Officers found 37-year-old Daniel McKinnis inside the home with an apparently shot in the buttocks.

McKinnis was airlifted to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he is in critical condition.
