One man injured in late night shooting

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man was injured in an overnight shooting in Leland.

The shooting occurred at River Road and Liberty Landing.

According to Emily Flax, Public Information Officer for Brunswick County, the victim was 27-year-old Seth Leonard. He was shot by an unidentified suspect.

The incident reports says the suspect caught up with Leonard at River Road near Liberty Landing. The Suspect vehicle pulled beside Leonard’s vehicle and the two vehicles made contact, causing both vehicles to come to a stop, with the suspect vehicle sideways in front of Leonard.

The report says the suspect vehicle is a white truck, possibly a mid 90’s ford F150 extended cab that may have damage on the passenger side.
