BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Garland man has been arrested for driving a stolen SUV in Bladen County last week, deputies say.

On Friday, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office was told to be on the lookout for 2004 GMC Yukon that had been stolen in Lumberton and the SUV was believed to be in the Dublin area. A Bladen County deputy reportedly saw the SUV on Highway 87 near the intersection of West Broad Street and tried to stop it.

CCSO says the SUV then sped off before eventually stopping at a home off Highway 53. The suspect then ran away, but was captured by deputies shortly after.

Dustin Carr, 25, is charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon, and Fleeing to Elude Arrest.

He was placed in the Bladen County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond.
