Man robs customer at gunpoint inside Wilmington McDonald’s

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after a customer was robbed at gunpoint inside a Wilmington McDonald’s Sunday night.

The robbery happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday at the McDonald’s at South College Rd. and Shipyard Blvd.

According to Wilmington Police, a man with a gun entered the restaurant wearing a ski mask.

The suspect demanded money from a customer inside, but the restaurant itself was not robbed.

Investigators say they used SABLE and K-9 units to help locate the suspect Sunday night, but have no one in custody at this time.
