Man shot in arm outside nightclub shows up at hospital

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after they say a man who was hit in the arm during a shooting outside a Wilmington nightclub showed up at the hospital a day after he was hurt.

Wilmington Police say the shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday at 1048 South Kerr Avenue. That’s where officers say the victim told them he was leaving the club when a fight broke out and shots were fired.

Police say the victim realized he had been shot in the arm, but didn’t think he needed medical attention at first. Just before 5 p.m. Sunday, officers say the man showed up at the hospital to be treated for his gunshot wound.

WPD says the man was unable to give a description of the shooters.
