Man shot in Wilmington, taken to hospital

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Officials are investigating after a shooting off Shipyard Boulevard left one man injured and taken to the hospital.

According to Jennifer Dandron, spokesperson for the Wilmington Police Department, a call came in around 7:35 p.m. Sunday night about shots fired in the 400 block of Marion Drive.

Police arrived to find one man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, and his condition and identity are currently unknown.
