Man shot at Robert Strange Park

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Georgia man was shot around 8 o’clock Sunday evening at Robert Strange Park in the 500 block of 9th Street, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

Police say the victim was approached by several men before he was shot.

The victim is about 35 years old and has since been transported to the New Hanover County Regional Medical Center. Police say his gunshot wound is not life-threatening.

Police have no one in custody at this time and no leads.
