Man shot twice during home invasion in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Wilmington police are searching for the man involved in a home invasion and shooting early this morning.
It happened at 12:49 a.m. at a home in the 300 block of Barclay Hills Drive.
Wilmington Police Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay says the man entered through an unlocked back door. Several people were inside the home. Lindsay says the suspect shot a man who was inside the home. The suspect then took all the cell phones from the people inside the home and ordered the shooting victim into a back bedroom, where he shot him again.
Lindsay says the suspect then left through the bedroom window.
The victim was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
No word yet on his condition.
