Man v. Food films at Flaming Amy’s Burrito Barn in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cooking Channel’s Man v. Food was filming in Wilmington Tuesday at a popular spot for burritos.

In Man v. Food, Host Casey Webb travels the country searching for America’s most delicious dishes and ultimate eating challenges.

Flaming Amy’s Burrito Barn announced on February 6 that the Cooking Channel would be coming to film at the restaurant.

It was completely packed Tuesday afternoon as customers hoped get on the show or meet Webb.

“He signed an autograph for my son, he’s at Hoggard so he couldn’t be here, so I figured Adam would like to have that,” customer Scott Proctor said. “I met Guy last January when he was here down at Something Fishy, so it’s neat when celebrities come to town and give Wilmington some recognition for the great food that’s here.”

No word yet on what Webb ate, if he participated in a challenge, or when the episode will air.

The show also filed permits to film on Wrightsville Beach.

Joe’s Oasis Owner Cathy Krizner said the crew will be at their restaurant, located at 6400 Carolina Beach Road, Wednesday. The crew wants to know how they make their pierogies, including their five-pound pierogi, and other house specialties.
