Man wanted after allegedly crashing car into Wilmington Riverwalk

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are searching for the man who allegedly his car into the Riverwalk on Christmas Eve.

According to witnesses, 22-year-old Nathan Foley did not stop at the stop sign at Orange and Water streets around 9:30 a.m.

He then reportedly drove his black Volvo into the sitting area off Water Street, damaging a park bench and ramming into the Riverwalk barrier wall. No one was sitting there at the time of the crash, but pedestrians were nearby.

Foley and a passenger then got out of the car and pushed it back into the road. A witness was able to get the registration number before the suspects drove away.

Foley has warrants for hit/run leaving the scene with property damage and reckless driving to endanger.
