Man wanted for robbery back in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man wanted for robbing a PNC Bank in Calabash last week is back in Brunswick County this morning after being arrested in South Carolina Monday.

According to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Kevin Riera, 21, was being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Facility in Horry County until he was brought back to Brunswick County late last night. He is now charged with common law robbery and second degree kidnapping yesterday.

Riera is being held in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $1 million bond.

His charges stem from a robbery in Calabash on Friday.
