Man wanted for Dollar General robbery

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man is wanted in Brunswick County for robbing a Dollar General.

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are asking the community to help identify this man who robbed the Dollar General at 1758 Mount Misery Road in Leland.

According to authorities, the man entered the store around 6:40 p.m. and proceeded to take cash from the clerk as she was taking it from the register to place in the safe.

Witnesses describe the man as 6′ to 6’2″, 200 lbs, and wearing a red shirt, blue shorts, and a baseball cap. He may be driving a small, silver, SUV.
