Investigators identify Calabash armed robbery suspect

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office have identified the man wanted for robbing a store at gunpoint.

Investigators are searching for Zachariah Gerald Bay, 21, of Conway.

They say he robbed the Family Dollar on Beach Road in Calabash. A clerk and customer in the store were not hurt. Bay ran off.

Bay is around 5’11” and weighs 175 pounds. Deputies say he could be in either North Carolina and South Carolina. He may be driving a black Ford Explorer sport truck.
