Man wanted in SC found working at Brunswick Co. construction site
ST. JAMES, NC (WWAY) — US Marshals say they arrested a man working in Brunswick County today who was wanted for a sex crime involving a child in South Carolina.
Marshals Service spokesman Russ Fields says they arrested Leonardo Jimenez-Romero, 32, at a construction site on Wyndmere Drive in St. James around 2 p.m.
Fields says Romero was wanted by the Horry County Police Department for criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The warrant was issued in July.
Romero was booked at the Brunswick County Detention Center, where he is awaiting extradition.
