Man in bed finds intruder hovering over him with hammer

Time: 12:32 p.m. – Wednesday
Location: 2100 Block of Yaupon Drive

Offenses: Armed Robbery and 1st Degree Burglary

Summary: The male victim, age 25, was awakened when the doorbell rang several times. The victim ignored the doorbell, but soon after he was startled by a man standing in the bedroom brandishing a hammer. (Point of entry may have been through an unlocked window).

The intruder hit the victim on the head with a hammer, and then tied the victim’s hands with an apron from the kitchen.

He took the victim’s car keys, two laptop computers, a cell phone, wallet, camera and two watches, and then drove away in the victim’s car. The stolen car is a tan 2000 Chevrolet Prizm.
