Man sentenced six months probation in “mile high” case

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Remember the "mile high" case? Sentencing happened Wednesday.

In May Carl Persing was found guilty of interfering with a flight attendant by intimidation.

The conviction stems from a dispute between Persing and a flight attendant on a plane ride from California to Raleigh in September.

Wednesday Persing was sentenced to six months probation. His attorney has already appealed the ruling.
