Man wanted in Brunswick Co. tracked down in Texas

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line received an anonymous tip on May 19th on Wanted subject, John Carl Wilson. The tip advised that Wilson was residing at an address in Arlington, Texas. Brunswick County Detective Sergeant Tommy Cole made contact with Arlington Police Department’s Fugitive Unit and relayed the information where they began their own investigation on Wilson. With combined efforts, it was determined that Wilson was residing in Arlington under an alias name.

Arlington Police Officers located a male subject that matched Wilson’s description and made a positive identification on the subject to be John Carl Wilson through driver’s license and Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office internal records.

Wilson is currently being held in Tarrant County Detention Facility and is awaiting extradition to North Carolina.

Wilson will be transported by North Carolina Department of Corrections to Brunswick County.

He’s charged with DWLR – Driving While License Revoked, Habitual Felon and Felony Possession CS II (cocaine).
