Marine dies in weekend wreck

FAISON, DUPLIN COUNTY (WCTI) — State troopers said a Camp Lejeune Marine involved in a weekend wreck in Duplin County has died.

Corporal Jonathan Heston, 22, was killed in a car wreck Saturday night.

Camp Lejeune officials confirm a U.S. Marine died in a fatal wreck in Duplin County. NewsChannel 12 was able to confirm that Marine was Heston. Heston was from Colorado and joined the Marine Corps in 2011.

Troopers said Heston ran a stop sign at the intersection of Solomon and Warren Roads near Faison in Duplin County.
