Marine sentenced in deadly shooting at Camp Lejeune gate
CAMP LEJEUNE, NC (WCTI) — A Marine has been sentenced to military prison and is dishonorably discharged for accidentally shooting and killing another Marine at Camp Lejeune’s main gate in April.
A military judge sentenced LCpl. Brandon Little (pictured left) Wednesday to two years in the brig, a dishonorable discharge from the Marine Corps, forfeiture of all pay, and a reduction of rank to E-1.
Little accidentally shot and killed 21-year-old LCpl. Mark N. Boterf while the two Marines were in a guard shack performing sentry duty at Camp Lejeune’s main gate. The shooting happened at about 5:30 p.m. on April 8.
