Marine charged in pregnant Marine’s death draws more TV attention
CAMP LEJEUNE (AP) — The “America’s Most Wanted” television show is drawing more attention to the Marine being sought in the killing of a pregnant colleague at Camp Lejeune.
Cpl. Cesar Laurean has been added to the show’s “Dirty Dozen” list, which contains fugitives the show considers most dangerous.
Laurean is charged in the death of Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach. Her charred remains and those of her unborn baby were found buried in Laurean’s backyard near Camp Lejeune in January.
Lauterbach was originally from Ohio. Investigators believe Laurean fled to his native Mexico.
