Marine Technology program at CFCC may stay afloat
A program to train our future marine specialists may stay afloat.
The Marine Technology program at Cape Fear Community College was once on the chopping block as one of many programs Governor Perdue proposed to cut.
Perdue announced this week in her budget proposal, funding for marine programs will remain. CFCC officials said they will continue to keep their fingers crossed as the budget waits for legislative approval.
Students in the program gain hands-on experience by spending 30 days at sea, studying the water and marine life.
