Marshals bust two for heroin
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Two suspected drug dealers are behind bars after a Friday night drug bust.
The US Marshal’s Task Force apprehended 20-year-old Devante Quashawn Bloodworth, for possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin and selling heroin within 1000 feet of a school.
When Bloodworth was arrested, investigators saw additional narcotics in the residence and as a result, Bloodworth now faces additional charges.
19-year-old Shatavia Olivia Thomas was also arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin and related drug offenses, as well as misdemeanor child abuse.
Bloodworth and Thomas both remain in custody at the New Hanover County Detention Facility.
Bloodworth is being held under $120,100 bond, and Thomas’s bond is $50,000.
