Matthew Wallace no longer on UNCW roster

WILMINGTON, NC (UNCW news release) – Men’s basketball senior Matthew Wallace’s scholarship has not been renewed, second-year coach Buzz Peterson announced today.

Wallace, a 6-0, 165-pound guard, appeared in 13 games for the Seahawks last season after transferring from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. He also played one year at Cal State-Northridge.

Wallace averaged 2.2 points and played 9.9 minutes per game for the Seahawks, scoring a career-high 14 points in UNCW’s loss at No. 4 Ohio State on Nov. 20, 2010.
