Mayor: Obama planning Greensboro rally

GREENSBORO (AP) — Officials say Democratic presidential primary candidate Barack Obama plans a rally in Greensboro, his second day of campaigning in North Carolina in as many weeks.

The News & Record of Greensboro reported Sunday that Mayor Yvonne Johnson said Obama planned a rally for Wednesday at the Greensboro Coliseum. The newspaper said Obama’s state spokesman Dan Leistikow confirmed the candidate would be in the state again, but didn’t provide details.

Johnson said the rally would be open to the public.

Obama visited Fayetteville and Charlotte last Wednesday.
