Meals On Wheels driver robbed

(New Hanover County) New Hanover County Officials are asking for your help in apprehending two or more suspects connected with the robbery of a volunteer for the Home Delivered Meals Program.

Shortly before 12:00 PM, a New Hanover County Home Delivered Meals Volunteer was robbed in the vicinity of 14th and Dock Streets. The suspects fled the scene in a dark colored sedan, similar to a Ford Crown Victoria. The volunteer was unharmed.

The home Delivered Meals Program delivers meals to home-bound elderly citizens age 60 and over, Monday – Friday. The meals are prepared in the New Hanover County Senior Resource Center Kitchen and are packed and delivered by volunteers.
