Medical imaging company moving operations to NC

RALEIGH — A medical imaging company is moving its operations from northern Virginia to North Carolina, but its initial job impact is expected to be small.

Company operations director Jake Siar said Thursday that Medis, which also has operations in The Netherlands, would start operations in Raleigh in mid-June.

Siar said the private company will hire three new employees and relocate three from Leesburg, Va., and has plans to expand.

Medis says it specializes in software “for the quantification of cardiovascular images and images of the brain.”
