Mellow Mushroom may open on Old Causeway

WIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (LUMINA NEWS) – The owner of a popular pizza franchise will seek approval from the planning board at its March 1 meeting to add outdoor seating to a vacant restaurant near the intersection of Old Causeway and Causeway drives – reports The Lumina News.

Robert Ray of Driftwood Court, Wrightsville Beach, owner of Mellow Mushroom, has applied for a conditional use permit to serve food and beverages on a patio to be constructed at the restaurant site.

Ray said by telephone on Wednesday, Feb. 23, “We’re going to have a hard time going in there without the patio and there’s a very good chance that it would be a deal breaker.”
