Memorial Day ceremonies held around southeastern NC

SOUTHEASTERN, NC (WWAY) — Several communities will hold ceremonies today in honor of Memorial Day.

In Brunswick County:

• Sunset Beach Memorial Day ceremony is at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Beach Town Park.
• Southport Memorial Day Observance and parade begins at 10:30 a.m.
• Compass Pointe Memorial Day celebration will include a golf cart parade at 11:00 a.m. followed by a ceremony at 12:00 p.m.
• Calabash will hold a moment of prayer at 11:00 a.m. at Calabash Community Park.
• Old Baldy Lighthouse Memorial Day Service is at 11:30 a.m.

In Wilmington:

• Wilmington National Cemetery Memorial Day Services begin at 11:00 a.m.
• Memorial Day Observance on the Battleship North Carolina at 5:00 p.m.
