Capra Jr. remembered at Thalian Hall

WILMINGTON — A legend in the movie industry was remembered this morning at Thalian Hall.

The memorial service for the former president of Screen Gems Studio, Frank Capra Jr. was held this morning.

Capra died December 19 from cancer at the age of 73. He played a huge role in bringing the first film to Wilmington in 1983.

Capra also pushed for the state’s film incentive program which helps bring film and TV productions to our area and the state.
