Men wanted for taking wallet, running up charges
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff’s detectives are searching for two men accused of taking a wallet and running up charges with a card that was in it.
Investigators say on Dec. 5 the victim accidentally left his wallet on a washing machine while doing laundry at the River Run Laundromat at 4956 Long Beach Road in Southport. The victim contacted the laundromat the next day, but was told no one had turned a wallet in. The victim then contacted his bank, which told him there were severeal transactions totaling more than $500 from his account.
Surveillance video captured images of the suspects. Investigators say they are both black males in a white Chevrolet Tahoe.
