Mermaids make a splash at NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher

FORT FISHER, NC (WWAY) — Starting Friday and through the weekend, you can catch the world-famous Weeki Wachee Mermaids at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.

The mermaids will be swimming with underwater animals and interacting with guests.

Visitors can also meet the mermaids on dry land to ask for autographs.

The mermaids will swim once an hour on the hour from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day.

Guests wishing to meet a mermaid on dry land may do so from 9:30 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
