Meth lab found in camper in Columbus County

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) – Two people face charges, after an investigation led to a math lab on Swamp Fox Highway East in Tabor City.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office arrested David Michael Holt, 41, and Julie Ann Floyd, 36.

According to a news release, one of the suspect is on parole. During a visit to the home, they noticed suspicious items and contacted the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Unit.

Detectives found the meth lab inside a camper on the property. The NC SBI was called in to help.

Holt and Floyd face several felony charges, including Possession/Distribution of a Methamphetamine Precursor, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Maintaining Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Use, Sale or Storage of Controlled Substance, and Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and/or Deliver Methamphetamine.

They are each in jail under a $650,000 bond.
