Military identifies 2 killed in Afghanistan

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – Military officials say two people killed while supporting combat operations in Farah province in Afghanistan were from Virginia and Colorado.

The Department of Defense said Monday that Staff Sgt. Gregory T. Copes, of Lynch Station, Va., and Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 1st Class Darrel L. Enos, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died Friday. Both were 36.

They were assigned to 3rd Marine Special Operations Battalion, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
