Miss USA pays a visit to Holly Tree Elementary

Miss USA went back to school Thursday. As part of her homecoming tour, Wilmington native Kristen Dalton visited with students at Holly Tree Elementary.

The kids were excited about her visit. They hung posters on the walls of the auditorium to welcome her. Her message to the children was, “dream big.” “If you make the right decisions and keep up with your persistence, there’s nothing you can’t achieve,” said Dalton.

The kids were happy to share their dreams of becoming everything from a singer to a Jedi-master.

Dalton’s busy week is not over yet. She will be at the Sharks game tonight, and making several stops around town Friday.
