Deputies: Missing Bladen woman case a ‘possible homicide’

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A search and rescue team met at the Ammon Fire Department this morning to continue looking for a missing woman.

Deputies said Judith Hyder was last seen in early December by her roommate. Hyder’s car was found near her home in the Garland area.

Crews have been doing ground searches around the home and around the car. They’ve also used cadaver dogs. At this morning’s briefing, deputies said they are treating this case as a possible homicide, saying the last people to see her are now now cooperating with investigators.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.
