Mistaken identity in bank robbery case

The man Bank of America employees thought may have been a serial bank robber turned out to be a regular customer.

A man who walked into the BOA across from UNCW Thursday who looks similar to the man who robbed two other local banks in the last two weeks. He also looks like the man who robbed the BB&T on Market Street in September.

Police tracked him down, but after questioning, concluded the man was not involved.

The real robber is still on the loose and may be responsible for a hold up at a bank in Florence, South Carolina.
