NHSO: Parent arrested after bringing gun to Ogden Elementary

OGDEN, NC (WWAY) — A woman was arrested after she brought a gun on school property in New Hanover County.

Lieutenant Jerry Brewer with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said Scenia Sutton was found with a gun on her at Ogden Elementary Tuesday morning.

​Lt. Brewer said someone on campus saw Sutton with the gun as she was dropping off her kids.

Sutton was charged with carrying a weapon on school grounds.

Lt. Brewer would not confirm if Sutton had a legal concealed carry license or not.
