Money awarded to local towns through American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

Governor Perdue announced her second round of drinking water and wastewater recovery projects Monday. More than $45 million has been awarded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Three million dollars will go to New Hanover County for public water supply projects. Southport and Burgaw will also receive three million dollars for wastewater and storm water projects.
