Moores Creek National Battlefield to reopen this week
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Moores Creek National Battlefield site is set to reopen this week after President Trump and Congressional leaders in Washington put an end to the partial government shutdown.
The battlefield has been closed for more than a month now due to the shutdown.
Park officials say they will reopen the park Monday.
Officials took to social media to say that, “after being away from the park for more than a month the park’s staff will take the next couple of days to ensure the facilities and trails are safe for our visitors.”
The park’s visitor center will reopen Tuesday resuming their regular schedule.
