More information revealed about the fatal crash on Cape Fear Memorial Bridge

We now know the names of those involved in Wednesday’s fatal crash on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.

A truck heading into Wilmington was driven by William McMillan II of Leland. He was changing lanes, and hit an 18-wheeler.

McMillan lost control and went over a guardrail, hitting a Tahoe driven by George DeSchamps of Wilmington. Myia Shepard was a passenger. She died in the crash.

DeSchamps’ 4-year-old son was taken to Chapel Hill for his injuries.
