Morning house fire in Wilmington ruled accidental
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Firefighters say no one was inside when flames sparked at Wilmington home early Tuesday morning.
It happened in the 400 block of 17th Street at the intersection of Nun Street. Fire crews say when a neighbor spotted the fire coming from the back corner of the home, he went in the home to be sure no one was inside.
Fire officials say the fire has been ruled accidental caused from an electrical issue. The damages are estimated to be more than $100,000. The Red Cross is helping the occupants of the home, fire officials said.
