Moss leaves UNCW

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — More than seven months after losing his basketball coaching job, Benny Moss is leaving UNCW. Moss was relieved of his duties as men’s coach in January and reassigned within the athletic department.

In a statement, the school said effective today Moss has resigned his job. Moss and the school have reached a settlement, but no word on the terms of that agreement.

“We appreciate Coach Moss’s service and tenure to the University and wish him well going forward,” said Kelly Mehrtens, UNCW’s athletic director, in a statement.
