Motorcyclist hospitalized after crash near Wilmington intersection
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Highway Patrol is investigating following a wreck involving a motorcyclist and a van in Wilmington Wednesday evening.
Highway Patrol says the wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Kerr Avenue and Gordon Road.
A trooper on scene tells WWAY the motorcycle was heading south on Kerr Avenue near Gordon Road and the van was heading north on Kerr Avenue.
The trooper says the motorcyclist was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center due to his injuries. No word on the extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries.
The driver of the van is okay.
Highway Patrol didn’t say whether any charges would be filed.
