Multiple men plead guilty to Wilmington burglaries

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – A Leland man is going to prison for breaking into three homes in Wilmington in 2015.

Deandre Graham, 25, pleaded guilty yesterday to First Degree Burglary, two counts of Second Degree Burglary, Larceny, Breaking and Entering and several other charges.

In July 2015, a woman called 911 around 3:00 a.m., saying several men had broken into her home while she was asleep. The woman hid in the bathroom and stayed on the phone with 911 until police arrived. Police arrived as the men were running out of the home. Four of the five were caught within a few hours.

During the investigation, police recovered items t hat had been stolen from two other homes that same night.

Graham had prior Breaking and Entering and drug convictions. He also has pending drug charges in Duplin County.

A judge sentenced Graham to at least 7 years behind bars.

The co-defendants in this case also pleaded guilty.

Maurice Taylor was sentenced to at least 3 years behind bars.

Dadrian Robinson was sentenced to at least 23 months behind bars.

Donnell Bennerman was sentenced to at least 6 years behind bars.

Claude Burks was sentenced to at least 23 months behind bars.
