Suspect in fatal Burgaw shooting turns himself into police

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — The Burgaw Police Department says the man wanted for allegedly shooting and killing a man in February turned himself into police this afternoon.

Police say Corey Alexander Todd, 21, is charged with first degree murder. He is in jail under no bond.

Todd is expected to be in court Thursday morning.

On February 26, Rakeem Brown was shot while walking in the area of Satchwell and Bodenheimer Streets in Burgaw.

Brown later died from his injuries at Pender Memorial Hospital.
