Murder suspect turns self in

WILMINGTON — A Wilmington man accused of murder turned himself in federal authorities this afternoon.

Larry Thompson is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Morris Cuttino.

Investigators say Cuttino was shot through his car door while driving near Tenth and Grace Streets in downtown Wilmington last week.

Cuttino later died at the hospital.

Police have not said anything about a motive, but the victim and suspect did know each other.
