Myrtle Beach asking Atlantic Beach to join them in canceling Bike Week

Officials from Myrtle Beach are trying to do away with Bike Week, and they are asking for assistance from the neighboring town of Atlantic Beach.

Myrtle Beach passed 15 laws last year designed to get rid of the Harley-Davidson Spring Rally and the Atlantic Beach Bikefest.

While town leaders in Atlantic Beach support the ban in theory, Atlantic Beach is in financial trouble, and the Bikefest is a money maker.

Atlantic Beach is asking Myrtle Beach for money in exchange for their support of the ban.
