MySpace.com ad leads to alcohol charges for teens, adults

ASHEVILLE (AP) — Two adults and eight others face alcohol charges after authorities were tipped to an illegal party by an ad on MySpace.com that offered unlimited alcohol for $5.

The adults are charged with the sale and possession of alcohol without a permit and aiding and abetting underaged drinking.

Authorities say they learned of the party when a fax of the ad was sent to the local Alcohol Law Enforcement office.

Two undercover agents attended the party late Saturday night and found a beer keg in a bathtub.

Arrests were made early Sunday.

Seven people between the ages of 17 and 20 also were charged with underage possession of alcohol.
