Myspace finds 90,000 sex offenders
Myspace is a popular site to network and socialize, but it’s also popular territory for sex offenders to find prey.
Myspace admits to finding an alarming 90,000 sex offenders on its website. That’s 40,000 more offenders than the company previously reported.
A task force created by 49 state attorneys general studied internet safety. In a report released just weeks ago, the task force concluded cyber bullying poses a far more serious challenge than sexual solicitation on social-networks.
North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper is a critic of the findings. He says the task force used outdated information in its research.
